Hi folks! So Buzz and I are reaching the end of our semesters at school, and the holiday season is here for both of our jobs! Unfortunately this means that we are very busy with school and work and are unable to provide you all with the posts that y’all deserve! So we are not going to be regularly posting until around December 13th. We are sorry about the inconvenience, and will soon be back bringing you some magic and pixie dust! Have a Happy Holiday season everyone!

Gaston!

One of my all time favorite Disney villains is Gaston. He’s extremely pompous and ridiculous, but he makes me laugh. And I personally believe that he is a well-developed character. In honor of Gaston and to highlight the wonderful music from Beauty and the Beast today’s Sing-along Saturday is Gaston! Enjoy my friends and as always feel free to sing-along!

Disney’s Frozen Will Melt Your Heart

Well, the Disney Animation team has done it again.  Frozen is a wonderful film about the importance of family.  It teaches you that no matter who your family is, you can’t give up on them.  Elsa and Anna, show us that the love and bond of a sister is much more powerful than that of any other love.

I actually am at a slight loss for words, which rarely happens.  This film is the perfect movie to go see with the family during this holiday season.  It brings fun for the whole family with its perfect charm and humor.  If it was up to me to decide, Princess Anna is the most realistic and easiest to relate to out of all the princesses thus far.  She is quirky and awkward and willing to take matters into her own hands when needed.

The storyline is perfect.  Adapted from Hans Christian Anderson’s “The Snow Queen,” it brings a tear or two to your eyes and makes you laugh a lot.  The film has a familiarity, yet it is so different from the other princess movies.  The artwork and music, alone, makes it a must see.  I felt as if I were watching a Broadway musical from the styles of the magical songs throughout the film.

I just…yeah.  I highly recommend seeing this movie if you haven’t already.  It is now a contender for favorite Disney princess film and definitely makes choosing just one that much harder.  I did not see the film in 3D, but don’t think I missed out on anything.  It was great without it, but I plan on seeing it again in 3D soon.

My Christmas in the Mouse’s House

20131125-183128.jpg
Well all of the gorgeous Christmas decorations are adorning the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort at the moment! Christmastime is definitely my favorite time to visit WDW. It’s completely magical; there are gorgeous lights, fake snow, characters wearing their Christmas best, and of course Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! Last year I was lucky enough to enjoy my first MVMCP–that I actually remember– and it was wonderful!
The parade was completely wonderful and so much fun! The fireworks were mesmerizing and the music perfect. However, my favorite part was seeing the castle completely decorated with the most beautiful lights. It was such a magical moment for me walking toward the castle that has been so iconic throughout my life, and having it be decorated for the holiday. It made me feel as if I was in a dream or a fantasy of some sort.
I realized how lucky I would be when I would call WDW my home for the next several months during my CP, and made me love Disney even more!
Unfortunately, I am unable to visit WDW during this holiday season. But I will definitely be thinking about my home away from home, and that magical moment of seeing Cinderella Castle lit up for the first time in my life!
