Life-Size[d]…Again?!

Remember that Disney movie they used to play on Disney Channel from way back when?  You know, the one with Tyra Banks and Lindsay Lohan pre-drugs and scandal?  If you were thinking “Life-Size” then lucky for me, we are on the same page.  For those of you who are reading this and have no clue what I’m talking about, keep reading for a quick run through of the original movie.

So, in 2000, Disney came out with an all new movie about a girl, Casey (Lindsay Lohan), who wishes to bring back her deceased mother by casting a spell.  Unfortunately, the spell back fires just a bit and this new doll, Eve (Tyra Banks), she was giving as a birthday present, comes to life instead.  Eve and Casey are about as opposite as the North and South Poles.  Eve, your typical Barbie doll (literally) who thinks she can do just about anything based on her different outfits she comes with and Casey, your stubborn, teenaged, tomboy who’s on the boy’s football team at her school and wants nothing to do with dolls, must work together to get what they both want, Eve back to her own world.

Tyra Banks has supposedly just confirmed that a sequel is in the works, nearly two decades since the original story.  If this is in fact true, don’t expect to watch the new film before the end of 2014 or 2015.  The whole thing is being kept very quiet and no word on if Lindsay Lohan will be returning for the second movie.  Personally, I don’t see how or why Disney would want to put Lindsay Lohan in a new movie in the first place.  I know she has a fairly successful past with the company, but given her reputation now, I don’t think it would be wise for Disney to sign her for anymore projects.

About 10 years ago I probably would be extremely excited about this news, however, looking back now and thinking how I was only 7 when Life-Size first came out, I’m a little iffy on this new development.  Children today are not going to understand a sequel when most probably have never seen or even heard of the original.  I don’t know if this is Disney’s way of trying to grant the wishes of all us “90s babies” who want shows like Lizzie McGuire, Even Stevens, and That’s So Raven brought back or they think it will be a hit.  But, I guess this is something we will never fully know, at least anytime soon.

Disney’s Maleficent Storms Into Theaters This Summer

Disney has released a new trailer for their upcoming live action film, Maleficent.  The movie stars Angelina Jolie as the evil Maleficent and Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora.  In this film, we will see the beloved story of “Sleeping Beauty” through the eyes of Disney’s most evil villain herself.  The movie will show us the story of why Maleficent set out to curse the princess in the first place.

On May 30, 2014, we will all know what caused Maleficent to curse the beautiful Princess Aurora.  Until then, check out this trailer to hold you over because I know you’re all dying to know what happens!

New Year, New Look!

Happy New Year, everyone!!  2014 is finally here and we have some big things planned for “Disney to Infinity and Beyond.”  For starters, you probably have noticed that we changed our look!

Also, due to our busy college schedules this semester, we will be cutting back on our posts a tiny bit.  As of right now we are going to be posting on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays of each week.  These posts will continue to be about aspects of the Walt Disney Company.  Our hopes for these articles are to bring more news and updates about the company to all of you.

We also have new plans and adventures planned for ourselves in 2014.  Woody will be moving back down to Florida to be with the Mouse, himself.  As for me, I’ve got my flight booked to visit “the happiest place on Earth” and Woody for spring break in March.  I will be taking tons of new pictures to share with all of you.  2013 was one of the most magical and best years for both of us and we plan to not let 2014 disappoint.

Thank you for all of your support, thus far, and we hope you all continue on our Disney journey with us!  °o°

Nahtazu!

When Animal Kingdom first opened it got some flack because people believed it was basically a zoo. However, the creative folks over in advertising decided to play off the idea of being a zoo, and instead created a new phrase for the park: Nahtazu!

So next time you visit Animal Kingdom just remember, It is NAHTAZU! 😀

The Bride of The Haunted Mansion

So you all know that Buzz and I completely adore The Haunted Mansion. We know the script, I have a doom buggy sticker on the back of my car, and my phone case depicts the hitchhiking ghosts! But enough about our obsession, many of you may not know that the creepy bride in the Attic scene of this attraction actually has a pretty elaborate back story. Kristen and I especially love to search for the brides engagement ring! So click here and see what myths hide behind the veil of this haunting bride! But make sure you hurry back… we always have more facts to share!
